Where I had big plans when I started it, living and surviving in Italy absorbed all of my time.
In our opening year we had 4 very serious accidents from broken necks till shattered feet, what combined with the construction work which we did all by ourselves left no time open to do any serious writing.
But I’m back, almost completely healed. And can seriously say that the last five years in Italy where interesting and a huge huge challenge, but we survived and now know all about adventures.
And from now on I’ll be writing about our life here in the beautiful countryside of Piedmont.

The basic building material in Italy is completely different then the one we use in Holland. Here they use huge and heavy stones from the area al in different shapes. In the beginning working with them was terrible, but ones started we really get the feel off it. Now we easily restore the old walls and create new staircases & walls with an ancient look, and play arround with for example creating tables sticking out of the walls.
